Iron Maiden- Monterrey 2011

The thursday, march 17th 2011, was the day that I had been expecting for like 5 months, it was the day that my favorite band since ever. I couldn't wait 'till that moment come, I was so excited.
Ihave a mom who is always taking care of me and she didn't left me go by myself,so I had to practly beg to a friend to come with me to the concert and he accepted.

I went to his house around 7 pm and picked him up and my mother drove us to the house of another friend so he and his father (who's also a Maiden's fan) could drive us to the concert.
When we finally arrive to the Banamex Theatre we ate a healthy bag of chips which costed more than the ticket and when we finished, wwe came inside and enjoyed the show.

The band that opend the show was "Maligno", but fortunately we skiped that show. The ticket said that the concert started at 9:00pm and they exactely showed up at 9:00, the concert was going well so far. The first song they played was "Satellite 15...The Final Frontier", the song started with playback  but just the intro. And as long as Bruce Dickinson started singing it was for real and I knew I was in a Maiden's concert, which was my first concert.

Me and my friend were so freaking excited, thay finished that song and immediately play "El Dorado", another 7 minutes of great metal music. Then a magic riff started to be played, it was "2 minutes to midnight", that was one of the songs that my friend sang with more energy. When they finished they took a very short pause to tell us that the next song was inspired in us and in Monterrey, because they feel Monterrey like it was England, like home, so for pure logic it was "Coming Home".

I was like a child in christmas, so happy with every song they played, and than they played one of my favorites from all times, "Dance of Death", that was one with great energy fron Dickinson, but then, when it was finished, Dickinson broke his throat with "THE TROOOPEEEEERRR", with the screams of the crowd it was almost impossible to listen the guitars, and no one in there could hear the guitars when the chorus was on, every one where screaming "OOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOHHOOOHHOOO" the best song of the night.

Another great songs were "Blood Brothers" which was dedicated to the victims of Japan, 'cause before Monterrey, Iron Maiden had to be in Japan, but because the tsunami thay couldn't appear, also "When the Wild Wind Blows" was excelent, with that sweet guitar riff.
"Fear of the Dark" was played too, it was amaizing, in fact I was a little afraid with the sounds Dickinson did (just kidding), "Iron Maiden" started and in the middle of the song Eddie appeard and play guitar along Janick Gers, who is a nutcase on stage, after this song they went backstage. They returned with the intro of "The Number of the Beast" and it was incredible, Dickinson made a little change on the lyrics, he said "...I'm coming back, we will return, and will posess your body...AND MAKE MONTERREY REAL FU**ING BURN!!..." and obviously everybody screamed .
They closed the show with "Running Free" and they gave some things to the crowd.
The space trip that began with "The Final Frontier" has been ended.

The next day I didn't want to go to school because I arrived home at 1:00am. but I went.
